Serving as the Executive Director of Davis Arts Center has been every bit as personally and professionally fulfilling as I thought it would be when I first accepted the role almost nine years ago. Today, though, it’s time for me to share that I’ve decided to move on for a new professional opportunity in the Sacramento region. “Bittersweet” doesn’t begin to cover this moment!
I’m proud of so much of what we’ve done over the past several years, from navigating the challenges of COVID to expanding our summer camps to developing arts curriculum for classrooms across the region. Mostly, I’m proud of an extraordinary team and the support they have earned from our community and beyond as they work to connect young people with the visual arts.
I’m looking forward to pursuing the next chapter of my career next month, but please know that I am proud and thankful to have served in this job for the past nine years. Below, you’ll find the news release that just came out from the Board of Directors. Recruitment for the next Davis Arts Center Executive Director is beginning now, and I know they will find it every bit the joyful challenge that I have.
