Gallery

The Tsao Gallery in Davis Arts Center is an exhibition venue and educational resource for local and regional artists, students and community groups. Mounting approximately eight shows each year, the gallery hosts solo and group exhibits in a variety of media, as well as interactive, family-oriented programs such as  Discovery Art. Annual community exhibits include the Wildlife Art Exhibit to benefit California Duck Days; the Elementary Art Show and Young at Arts Festival to benefit the Davis School Arts Foundation; and the Gerald Wooliever Senior Juried Show, which awards scholarships to deserving high school art students. The gallery also hosts Eight from ACGA, an annual juried ceramics exhibit by members of the Association of Clay and Glass Artists of California, held each spring in conjunction with the California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Arts. Davis Arts Center participates in the 2nd Friday ArtAbout, a monthly evening of art viewing and artists’ receptions at galleries and businesses throughout Davis. Gallery receptions are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.
