Summer on the Green at Davis Commons:
Make Free Art on Tuesdays and Listen to Free Music on Thursdays All Summer
Grab a blanket, lawn chair and a pizza for your family and enjoy free art and music on Tuesdays and Thursdays this summer! Davis Arts Center and Music Only Makes Sense in partnership with HOT ITALIAN, announce Summer on the Green.
Join the free activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 – 8pm, beginning July 11 and running through August 17 at the Davis Commons (on the grassy plaza in front of HOT ITALIAN).
Tuesdays will feature artist led visual and musical projects open to all presented by Davis Arts Center. The art lineup include a DIY art station stocked with paints, crayons and paper as well as interactive art projects including: Assemblage art, Guerilla art, Capoeira and Rhythm Kids. Further details forthcoming!
Thursdays will feature an outstanding musical lineup curated by the same people who bring us the Davis Music Fest. Performers include Bomba Fried Rice on July 13; Big Sticky Mess on July 20; The Five Thirty on July 27; The Heavyweight Champs on August 3; Matt Jaffe and the Distractions on August 11 and the series will wrap up on August 17 with the Roots Man Project.
Davis Commons is located at the corner of Richards and First Street in downtown Davis. Free parking is available behind the Commons and can be accessed from the corner of First and D Streets.
