Two innovative Sacramento artists, Maren Conrad and Danny Scheible, present the collaborative exhibit “Stuck Forward” at Davis Arts Center June 2 through July 5 in the Tsao Gallery. An ArtAbout reception for the artists will be held on Friday, June 13 from 6 to 8 pm.

An unlikely pair – Conrad creates highly finished work with multiple applications of paint, gold leaf and resin, and Scheible’s medium of choice is masking tape – the duo met and began collaborating through a collective arts space in Sacramento. The results of this combination of materials, artistic processes and aesthetic sensibilities are highly original – and quite beautiful.
