Meeting the third Sunday of the month at 2pm, The Davis Arts Center Poetry Series typically features two readers. Admission is free but donations are always appreciated and all proceeds benefit Davis Arts Center!  The Series is hosted by James Lee Jobe. Audio archives of previous readings can be found here.

1_editFor July the Series features James Lee Jobe, the fourth Poet Laureate of Davis, California.  His two-year term lasts until September 2020.  In addition to hosting the ongoing Davis Arts Center Poetry Series, James has completed five chapbooks including What God Said When She Finally Answered Me, Rattlesnake Press, and Red Skelton’s Ghost, Cold River Press.  Jobe’s poems have been published in magazines, journals and anthologies spanning several decades.  He is a student of Zen Buddhism and is on the Board of Directors of a Davis homeless shelter.  Davis has been his home for more than twenty years.
