One Great City Duo are the featured performers for the June Classical Guitar Concert Series concert.  One Great City Duo are Alexandra Iranfar on guitar and soprano and Timothy Sherren on guitar.  Combining excellent arrangement, adventurous repertoire, and the bonus of an accomplished soprano, One Great City Duo brings a truly imaginative approach to their programming.  The San Francisco Examiner acclaims One Great City Duo as an “innovative new duo… One Great City brings a journey of discovery to every recital they prepare.”  One Great City Duo crystalized in 2011, and immediately began building a repertoire unique to them, combining Alexandra’s abilities both as a guitarist and a soprano with their love and dedication to chamber music.

One Great City Duo will perform a jazz and world-music inspired concert.  Featuring adventurous music written for them by their mentor, Grammy-award winning composer Sérgio Assad, arrangements of legendary jazz pianist Chick Corea, and songs by Cole Porter, this program celebrates the duo’s eclectic influences.

This concert is presented for free with a $10 suggested donation.
