The 2017 Classical Guitar Concert Series begins with Matthew Fish.  Hailed by Sérgio Assad as “…an expressive guitarist with a great sense of rhythm and tone colors,” San Francisco-based classical guitarist Matthew Fish is an accomplished soloist, chamber musician, and teacher. He has participated in numerous guitar competitions and earned top prizes, including First Prize at the Sierra Nevada International Guitar Competition.

Matthew has performed throughout the United States for the South Bay Guitar Society, Springfield Classical Guitar Society, Sierra Nevada Guitar Festival, SF Bay Classical Guitar Festival, Illinois Wesleyan School of Music, Hot Air Music Festival, and the Guitar Foundation of America Regional Symposium in San Francisco.  As an ensemble player, Matthew has performed at Davis Arts Center, and continues to perform with the acclaimed San Francisco Guitar Quartet.

This concert is presented for free with a $10 suggested donation.
