The exhibition features work from the UC Davis Department of Design’s DES115 Letterforms and Typography class taught by Jiayi Young, Assistant Professor of Design.  The display follows the development of a design project that encourages students to closely exam the form and function of letterforms.  The students studied, traced, magnified, cropped six different typefaces and identified the special characters and unique aspects of each.  They then narrowed the study to one typeface and developed a composition that reflected the studies.

There will be a free, Second Friday ArtAbout! on November 10, from 6 – 8pm.  Many of the students will be present and the public is encouraged to attend.

Featuring work by:  Jordan Byrnes, Alyssa Hada, Linda Huang, Stephanie Kim, Olivia Kotlarek, Tristan Kwik, Henry Moore, Crystal Sandmire and Daria  Zadorozhnaya.
