The final guitar performance of the Series will be Matthew Grasso’s 11th Annual Celebration of the 7-String on July 7 at 7:07 pm. It is a wonderful occasion for guitarists, guitar aficionados and music lovers in general to hear a variety of uncommon instruments, learn about their use and construction directly from performers, luthiers and music historians.
The musical world tour will include the following: Robert Camilo will perform transcriptions by the French composer Erik Satie on the alto extended 7-string guitar. Dr. Aya Ueda and Matthew Grasso will present original compositions and arrangements sung in both English and Japanese. Indian musicians Joanna Mack, Matthew Grasso, and Joe Fajen will perform the sacred ragas of North India.
